i remember listening to this and Oversleepers for the first time in the Chicago airport. headphones in, backpack on, and walking with thousands of other people taking connecting flights - THAT'S what this album feels like. airport music.
Favorite track: Erica Western Teleport.
Not sure how, but he's found a way to make high-complexity geopolitical issues fun to listen to. And then mixed that with songs about apparently mundane day-to-day things like AC repair. Great album!
Favorite track: Allahu Akbar.

We are enormous fans of Pinegrove but that feels like an understatement. We are for everything they do from their DIY ethic to our fellow Jersey roots and of course to their musical novelty, more pressingly, their lyricism. I contend there's no current alt/indie project that shares the challenge towards articulation that Evan produces.
Every track is indispensable. The album is consummate like that; Old friends is incomplete without new friends, cadmium without aphasia, so on/so forth.
